Sylvia began her career in the hearing field as a part time office
assistant after graduating from high school in Eunice NM. It wasn't
long after joining Sandia when a powerful incident prompted her to
make hearing science a career. One day while assisting a hearing aid
specialist, she witnessed the patient begin to shed tears of joy
while being fit with new hearing aids. Sylvia decided then that
helping people hear better was her calling.
Her studies have taken her across the country to gather the
specialized knowledge necessary to serve the hearing impaired of Lea
County. A close-knit family has taught her the benefits of a
trustworthy and loving attitude. Her sharp mind and the genuine
caring of a big heart are immediately noticeable when you meet her.
As a qualified member of the Sandia Hearing Center team, Sylvia
performs complete hearing evaluations and recommends the appropriate
